Weightless I know I'm hungry, but for now I can push it aside. I'll wait till I'm home alone or know one is bothered to acknowledge my existence. My sister indulges her taste buds with yet another honey bun, the crusty white glaze clinging to her peach fuzz. No shame. I have shame, enough for the both of us. All 3 of us, my sister, my mother, and I. What is it like to be shameless, weightless?

She speaks through her mouthful of calories, "Come on, we're gonna be late for school. I swear to god, if you make me miss the bus I'll-" my mother shuts her up with an irritated glare. Our father had just come home, that's when all of us get sick of each other

With every surge of hate I have,
it falls into a deep passion,
I have the urge to embrace you so fiercely,

To get so angry with each other
we end up a tangle of limbs,
passion seeping through the headboard with every sigh.

make me trip.

The fourth statistic shocked me. Having lost one parent already (and know about nuclear war, cancer etc.) I'm surprised and upset that young girls can think that. By 'young girls', I'm guessing you mean teenagers, such as myself. It's horrifying. Sure, I want to look 'pretty' in the eyes of others', but I'd rather have my father here to talk to instead

It shocked me as well. Personally I'm more afraid of losing one or both my parents 10x more than being considered ugly [though, I already am considered ugly xD]. Young girls refers to lik 7-18 year olds, I suppose.

It is weird. Sure, we're all entitled to our insecurities but you shouldn't go as far as plastic surgery unless it's seriously hampering your quality of life. That's true. It's just sad that not many people can see that.

On the subject of that 4th statistic... I can actually understand that one, because- in general- death, serious illness and war seem very distant to young people; whereas issues with their looks are far closer to them. Not saying that it's a good thing that visual image is so important to people, but still...

Personally, I don't consider myself beautiful, but... in terms of appearance, I think I have nice hands. As for personality, I've been told I'm a good listener; though that might just be because I'm a very quiet, nonconfrontational introvert who tends to befriend chatty outroverts, haha. I can deal with people ranting about their issues to me without getting offended.
